What should I do on the day of surgery?

On surgery day your doctor will adjust your medications and advise you on which to take the morning before your surgery.

Take your final serving of HealFast Pre-Op either the night before your morning surgery or with those medications the morning of your afternoon surgery.

We also advise to limit liquid intake as directed by your surgeon. If you are allowed to drink something, be sure to choose a drink with carbohydrates and electrolytes (like Gatorade). But as always, please confirm eating and drinking guidelines with your provider as typically clear liquids (including Gatorade) are ok to drink 2 hours before surgery for many patients.
